Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay
Fiji Marriott Resort really does live up to the hype it has received this year since it opened in April 2017. With a swim up bar, an adults only infinity pool and overwater bures lining the lagoon, it really is an amazing experience out there.
Paradise luxe, but not pretentious, beautifully set up and easy to walk around and explore. There was a mix of couples of all ages, families and friend groups all enjoying the resort at their own pace.
There are lots of options! From overwater or ocean front bures through to modern apartment style living.
The overwater bungalows, or bures as they are called in Fiji, are the real highlight of the resort. You could even jump in the water and swim to breakfast if you wanted to...
Next best thing are the bures located on the beach surrounding the lagoon. The beach is at your door step and you can choose to book either beach or lagoon front bures.
You can also choose to stay in the modern apartment style rooms facing the lagoon.
Whatever you choose, you can't really go wrong as all the rooms are new and well designed, really it comes down to your budget and what kind of experience you are after. You can see all the options here.
What to do there
Well, we pretty much just swam in the pools in the daytime and drank wine in the evening which was all we wanted to do.
Activities - For the more adventurous types, the resort offers water sports, snorkelling tours, sunset cruises, village tours and kids activities too.
Entertainment - In the evenings there are fire dancing performances and on Sundays a local choir visits the resort to sing.
Wining and Dining - There are three restaurants to choose from and between them you can have everything from wood fired pizza or burgers through to large seafood platters. The buffet breakfast, was one of the largest and most diverse range of food I've ever seen (and devoured...).
Would we go back?
Yes, yes we would. We had such an amazing time as it's a really easy resort to do whatever you like at whatever pace you like. It's a pretty chilled vibe, beautifully designed and the staff were so friendly, making our stay even better.
